UPDATED: Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream #21 Bright Beige

Introduction to Missha's M Perfect Cover BB Cream

    missha_perfect_cover_bb_cream_01

    Brief Description (Product Properties)

The product contains SPF 42, 4 in 1 - 'Moisturizer + make-up base + foundation + concealer', contains natural ingredients which can be used by sensitive skintypes as it will not irritate the skin, heals acne, even out skin tone, adds radiance, the product could be used as an after treatment by patients who have undergone skin surgeries.

    EXAMPLE - My Own Case

I have combination skin type, my skin is generally normal leaning towards dry skin, but during the day my T-zone becomes oily.  I have been using Missha's M Perfect Cover BB Cream for about 1 year+ on and off, it was my first BB cream ever. I used foundation when I first started wearing make-up but it was too thick for me and i didn't like the texture it left on my skin, I then turned to tinted moisturizer for a while it was fine until I started to get blemishes meaning I needed something with a better coverage. So I searched and searched and found out about BB creams at the time BB Cream was still new and it only had a few known brands and Missha was one of them after reading many reviews I decided to try out the Missha and now i'm in love with it! I use BB cream all over my face and build upon coverage in the areas needed and on specific blemishes, I do not use concealer at all, or make-up base or primers as such. (July 2009)

As you can see my skin is generally ok with a few minor blemishes and scars and slight uneven skin tone.

After - When Missha M Perfect Cover is applied on my skin

The first photo is taken without flash and just with the BB cream on and the next one is with flash and I have dust some powder all over my face, as you can see my skin doesn't look at all thick, my skin tone is evened out it looks much brighter without any blemishes or scars in sight, note that I did not apply any concealer I just build up the coverage by using just BB cream not concealers.

    Extra photos - Me!

This is 6 photos of me (sorry about the crappy quality ) me with the Missha BB cream on! Yes I always use it no matter when, where and what season! I wanted to add these photos as the photos above you just see one side of my cheek so just thought i give you some photos of what my face looks like on the whole with the rest of my make-up plus Missha BB cream.

    My Personal Opinion

I recently used the new Bobbi Brown liquid foundation, thinking it was going to be fine I used it whilst getting ready to go out. But after doing my whole make-up i look at my face and i did not like it at all! I had to redo my whole face again! It seemed thick and cake even though it was suppose to be this new light liquid foundation, it didn't make me feel good or confident which make-up is suppose to do, so yes I went back and did my whole face with Missha the minute I finished applying Missha's BB cream I thought this is what feels right!! The BB cream not only feels good on the skin it looks good, its not thick, it adds radiance, covers up my scars and evens out my skin tone what more can I ask for!

    Ratings and Recommendations

    Coverage:    /5

The reason why i gave 4/5 is because I feel that it evens out my skin tone and covers minor scars and blemishes, you can easily build coverage on areas if you want a light or heavy coverage. But on more darker scars and severe acne and blemishes you may need to use a alternative concealer.

    Oil Control    /5

Due to the cream like texture after application you will need to dust powder over face, during day I still need to powder my T-zone a few times but rather than looking oily it looks healthy and gives off an illuminating shine.

    Overall         /5

This is my personal rating, as I love the product so much! But i think overall it is a great product, it has a very high SPF, many properties which is great for the skin, it heals, protects and it does not irritate the skin at all! On good days when you don't have much blemishes you can easily apply a thin coverage or a heavy coverage because it is easily build upon with the product.

Recommendations - I would recommend this product to anyone! Even if your dry skintype the cream like texture will add more moisture into your skin, if your normal to combination, if your sensitive skin as the product won't irritate the skin with its natural ingredients. But again the product is not a miracle worker it wont cover up severe acne scars or blemishes but it will cover up minor scars and blemishes easily. For those with severe acne and scarring this could be a good make-up base giving you an even skin tone and SPF protection but an additional concealer would be needed.

    Additional Information:

The Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream cost me 2500yen when I was in Japan back in March/April 2009 but due to the increase of BB creams on the market the prices have gone down slightly. I recently bought a smaller size of 30ml of Missha for a friend and it only cost £6-£7 including shipping on eBay well worth it! Its also a good idea to buy a smaller size if you unsure about the product if it is best suited for your skin, I mean this review and my opinions are all based own my own skin so it will differ from people.

  • Missha M BB Cream Review

    misshasilver

Ok, this is my next BB Cream (Blemish Balm Cream) again by Missha because I absolute love the previous Missha BB Cream so I decided to try another Missha product, I’ve been using this whilst in Japan on and off for about 2+ months.  So here is my review for it!

For more information about what BB Cream is and other FAQ's please read this article - http://liasbeauty.blogspot.com/2010/07/what-is-bb-cream.html

Product Information (this is written on the actual product)

Missha M BB Cream contains natural ingredients that do not damage or irritate the skin.  With continuous use, your sensitive skin will be calm, protected from redness and keep its health.”

Without any BB Cream Skin //  With Missha M BB Cream

As you can see this has a lower coverage compared to the Missha BB Cream (M Perfect Cover beauty blog link - http://lia-x.xanga.com/698724116/item/) as blemishes are not fully covered, it’s very similar to a tinted moisturiser which gives a light coverage with moisturising benefits however for those with oily skin this may not work wonders for you as I’m usually normal to combination and I felt the need to powder more frequently then usual also I wouldn’t recommend this to those whose looking for a medium/high coverage as this is quite light.

Overall I didn’t have much problems with this product though it does have its ups and down, firstly the good thing about it is that it is light and gives the skin a dewy natural glow, evens out skin tone effortlessly and I felt my skin was moisturised throughout the day.  The bad thing about it I had to use more concealer to cover up blemishes due to the light coverage, I got oilier quicker hence powdering a lot more also it doesn’t have benefits such as SPF like the Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream.

    Personal Ratings

Application /5 – Easy to apply to skin very creamy and moisturising, evens out skin tone and gives skin a dewy natural glow, it some what has a similar texture to Sun Cream feels thick but the coverage isn't, it also doesn't really allow you to build on coverage.

Coverage /5 – It does even out skin tone but it is a light coverage BB Cream so with scars and blemishes you will need to use a concealer unless you have perfect skin =)

Oil Control /5 – For me who is normal to combination usually with a oily T-zone I did get oilier quicker and felt I had to powder more.

Overall /5 – Unless you don’t have much blemishes and scars and your skin is usually ok and those looking for a light coverage BB Cream this will be great as it’s a light coverage BB Cream to just even out skin tone whilst moisturising the skin and creating a dewy natural finish.

But more for being a combination skin type as well as the occasional break out it wasn't the best for me also it didn't contain a high spf factor, therefore I would not recommend this product to those who require medium/high coverage and oily skin types.

Extra – Again I think you can only get BB Cream in Asian countries, I bought this in Japan for about ¥1890yen ish..?  It was cheaper than the Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream, again eBay would be the place to buy it but do check and compare prices and find a good honest seller!

Note - this only comes in one colour.  Its quite fair as you can see through the photos, i think it has a pinky undertone.
